This was the first of the Heckle and Jeckle cartoons titled The Talking Magpies and was released in 1946. It follows the story of a pair of noisy Magpies who move into a nest in a tree right outside of old Farmer Al Falfa’s bedroom window. The old man attempts to get some rest but the noisy birds keep him awake. A battle of wits begins. Characters created by American cartoonist Paul Terry.
