In this clip from the 1931 film Frankenstein, Heinrich “Henry” Frankenstein (Colin Clive) claims to have discovered the ray that brought life to the world and demonstrates using a body that he put has pieced together. He raises the body, located on an operating table, high into the air to an opening in the top of the laboratory. After loud crashes of lightning, the body is brought back down and the hand moves. This causes Frankenstein to shout “It’s alive!”.
