A Shot in the Dark is a 1964 film starring Peter Sellers, Elke Sommer, George Sanders and Herbert Lom. It is the second installment in The Pink Panther series and features Peter Sellers as Inspector Jacques Clouseau of the French Sûreté. In the film, Clouseau is called to the home of Benjamin Ballon to investigate the murder of his chauffeur Miguel and all signs point to the guilt of the maid named Maria. In spite of this, Clouseau refuses to admit her guilt after he develops an instant attraction to her. This movie was released on June 23, 1964.
