Movie trailer for the 1938 film A Christmas Carol starring Reginald Owen, Gene Lockhart, and Kathleen Lockhart. It tells of the story of an elderly miser named Ebenezer Scrooge who is not only greedy but very bitter and cranky. He shows no concern for his employee Bob Cratchett and after an unfortunate incident in which Cratchett knocks off his hat, he fires him right before Christmas. Scrooge is then visited by the spirit of his former partner Jacob Marley who warns him to change his ways. Scrooge is then visited by three spirits- the Spirit of Christmas Past, the Spirit of Christmas Present, and the Spirit of Christmas Future. Each of these spirits show Scrooge details of his life and what will happen if he does not change. Scrooge ultimately promises to repent. This film was released on December 16, 1938.
